Tuppenhurst Arena Fun Day

Join us at Tuppenhurst Arena for a fun-filled day of dog classes, horse classes, rosettes, prizes and family-friendly competition.

The day starts at 9:00am with the dog show, followed by a relaxed and welcoming programme of horse classes suitable for all ages and experience levels.

Whether you are entering for fun, supporting a young handler, bringing along a lead rein pony or simply coming to enjoy the atmosphere, Tuppenhurst Arena Fun Day is designed to be friendly, low-pressure and enjoyable from start to finish.

Entries close at 12:00 noon on 24th July. Class times will be posted on Facebook at 8:00pm on 24th July.

Limited entries may be available on the day if numbers allow, but advance booking is strongly recommended.

DOG SHOW

Dog classes start from: 9:00am

Our dog show is a light-hearted way to start the day, with three fun classes celebrating young handlers, waggy tails and dogs with bags of character.

Every dog entered will receive a rosette, with goodie bags for placed competitors and prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Entry is £5 per class.

Class 1 - Young Handler

Open to handlers under 16 years of age. Helpers are permitted, so younger or less confident handlers can still take part and enjoy the experience.

Class 2 - Waggiest Tail

For the dog whose tail simply refuses to stop. A fun, cheerful class for dogs full of enthusiasm and personality.

Class 3 - The Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home

A feel-good class for the dogs with the biggest charm, sweetest nature or most irresistible face. We'll pick the pooch which we'd like to add to our pack!

Horse Show

Our horse show is designed to be welcoming, fun and accessible, with classes for ridden, in-hand, lead rein and young handler combinations.

The focus is on taking part, building confidence and enjoying the day. Helpers are allowed, lead rein combinations are welcome, and classes are suitable for all ages.

Every entry will receive a rosette, with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Entry is £10 per class.

HORSE SHOW CLASSES


Entry fee: £10 per class
Maximum entries: 20 per class unless stated otherwise
Suitable for: All ages
Helpers: Allowed
Lead Rein: Friendly

For classes with sections, there is a maximum of 20 entries per section. If there are insufficient entries, sections may be amalgamated. Where sections are amalgamated, prizes and placings will still be awarded for each original section where possible.

Class 1 - Fancy Dress

A fun, creative class for riders, handlers, horses and ponies who want to get into the spirit of the day.

Section A: Under 16 years
Section B: 16 years and over

Class 2 - Young Handler

A friendly class for young handlers to show confidence, care and partnership with their horse or pony.

Section A: 7 years and under
Section B: 8 to 12 years
Section C: 13 to 15 years

Class 3 - Flag Race

A relay-style race where riders will be grouped into teams of four.

Competitors will:
• Pick up a flag from a cone
• Carry it to the cone at the opposite end
• Place the flag into the cone
• High-five the next rider to continue the race

Maximum entries: 24 riders

Class 4 - Best Turned Out

A classic show class rewarding careful presentation, neat turnout and attention to detail.

Section A: Ridden
Section B: In Hand

Class 5 - Hobby Horse Fun

A fun obstacle course for all ages. Hobby horses will be available to borrow on the day, so everyone can get involved.
